| Unveiling the all-new FooDelicious! by hafizbam |
Just when you thought this blog was dead, I have returned... with a brand new column! Haha. Named FooDelicious! by hafizbam (pronounced fooddeelicious), it will feature my personal reviews of what else, if not food! Expect anything from your humble curry puff to elaborate dishes from the restaurants I patronise once awhile. And where possible, I will accompany the reviews with related photos. After all, what is a food review without a photo to tempt you (or not) right?
Talking about curry puffs, what better way to kickstart this series than by commenting on Old Chang Kee's latest addition to its stable of fried fritters - the Chicken Mushroom O Puff!

The name itself should be self-explanatory. Your good old curry puff revolutionized to contain a new filling already commonly used for pies - bits of chicken and mushroom with a few familiar small chunks of potato from their bestselling Curry O. Which is why I detected a taste of familiarity when I first bit into the puff, like that of Delifrance's Chicken Feuilette.
However, as you progress to savour more of it, you might be disappointed to find out that at $1.20, the filling is not as much compared to its curry potato and sardine counterparts. In fact, I can safely say the size of one Chicken Mushroom O is slightly smaller as well.
Final Say: A delectable on-the-go filling for the stomach, but not one you would want to spend on regularly once the promotional price no longer applies. And it's fried!
